At Wakahara Laboratory, we investigate the morphology, contractile properties, and plasticity of human skeletal muscles and tendons. Our mission is to enhance athletic performance and contribute to the maintenance and improvement of human health across all life stages.
Prospective Graduate Students:
We welcome applications for Master's students (Doctoral candidates are also considered upon consultation). We are looking for passionate students who are enthusiastic about exploring the biomechanics and physiological plasticity of human muscle and tendon tissues!
Due to our focused lab size, graduate students receive close, individualized research mentorship and have ample access to our state-of-the-art laboratory equipment. Please visit the Voices of Alumni page to read testimonials from our graduates. If you are interested in joining our research group, please feel free to reach out to us!
