「壬生寺」(Mibu Temple)
壬生寺は新選組の兵法調練場として使用されており、数多くのエピソードが残っているお寺です。
壬生寺境内にある壬生塚には近藤勇の胸像や初代局長の芹沢鴨や平山五郎の墓など、隊士７名の合祀墓があります。
幕末の頃を想像し、新選組の青春時代を感じてみませんか？

「八木邸」(Yagi residence)
八木邸は壬生村の壬生郷士の長老が居住していましたが、幕末期には新選組の宿所とな
り、旧壬生屯所として知られています。また、近藤一派が初代局長の芹沢鴨らが暗殺され
場所としても有名です。見学の際、ガイドさんの説明付きなので、新選組について何も
知らない人でも楽しめます。見学が終わり次第、八木邸の隣にある「京都鶴屋鶴寿庵」に
抹茶と屯所餅が楽しめます。

八木家が営んでいる和菓子/生菓子のお店である「京都鶴屋鶴寿庵」。屯所餅が有名なお店
ですが、屯所餅以外もおいしいお菓子がたくさん！京都鶴屋鶴寿庵社長の八木勢一郎さん
のオススメ商品は「京ちゃふれ」！！宇治抹茶をふんだんに使用した生地に、抹茶チョコ
レートをサンドしたお菓子です。風味豊かに、口当たりがとても優しい生サブレです。ぜ

"Kyoto Tsuruya Kakujuan" which is a shop of Japanese sweets / confectionery that Yagi family operates.
This shop is famous for “Tonsho Mochi”.
However, there are lots of delicious sweets other than “Tonsho mochi”!
Mr. Yagi, President of “Kyoto Tsuruya Kakujuan” recommends "Kyo-chahure"
that is Matcha chocolate on the dough which used Uji powerchia abundantly
It is a sweet sandwich the rate. Rich flavor and raw mouthfeel is very gentle suble.
Please try eating!!
③旧前川邸(The former Maekawa residence)

「旧前川邸」(The former Maekawa residence)
旧前川邸は八木邸と同じく新撰組の屯所として約2年間使用されていた。
のちに新撰組総長の山南敬助が切腹した場所でも有名だ！現在は個人の住居のため、公開はしていない。
しかし、土日祝日のみ、玄関にて新撰組グッズが販売されている！！
また、旧前川邸オリジナルグッズはここでしか販売されていない！

The former Maekawa residence had been used for about two years as a camp of Shinsengumi as well as Yagi House.
It is famous for where the Shinsengumi general manager Keisuke Yamanami later performed hara-kiri! Currently it is an individual residence.
it is not made public. However, only on Saturday, Sunday and a public holiday, Shinsengumi goods are on sale at the entrance! !
Also, the former Maekawa residence original goods are only sold here! If you buy Shinsengumi goods,
why don’t you visit the former Maekawa residence?

閑静なところにあるため、落ち着いて拝観することができる。
また、御朱印は新撰組にちなんだものであるため、御朱印好きにはたまらないかも？！

「西本願寺太鼓楼」(Hongwan Temple)
池田屋騒動後、新撰組隊士は200名を超えるようになり、
壬生屯所から西本願寺に新撰組の本陣を構えた。
その時、新撰組は西本願寺内にある太鼓楼を使用していたという。
世界遺産である西本願寺に寄る際は新撰組の屯所であったことを忘れずに！！
