When he announced the iPad2 in March 2011,
Steve Jobs used these words in attributing Apple’s success to its integration of technology and art.
“Artists are taking inspiration from scientific ideas and discoveries
and using advanced technologies to produce new forms of artistic
expression. Scientists too are finding inspiration with artists.
There are many examples. One is the Primitive Streak project, which
was based on collaboration between fashion design and biological
science.”
