衆議院本会議の代表質問で、亀井亜紀子（立憲）及び前原誠司（維新）は、石破内閣総理大臣の施政方針演説等に対する質疑を行いました。
亀井氏は、地方創生の成果を問い、駅前の最後の百貨店が閉店した、という地方の県庁所在地の現状と人口流出への対策を政府に求めました。
「明らかに地方が衰退しており、人口減少の影響を受けています。」
「中小企業の従業員も給料が上がり、一次産業の従事者が本業で生計を立てることができれば、地方からの人口流出は止まります。そして儲からなくても生活に必要なサービスは税金で行うこと、それが公の役割であり、政治だと思います。「地方こそ成長の主役」と公言されている石破総理、全国で一番人口が少ない鳥取県を代表する石破総理の前向きな答弁を期待して質問を終わります。」
一次産業従事者が豊かに暮らせる条件を創り出すには何が必要か？ インフラ投資。地方大学。農業支援。市場の拡大。与野党がアイデアを競い合い、成功した試み、失敗の経験を、研究者や社会運動と共有し、技術や投資、社会意識、制度における革新を加速してほしいです。
維新の質問者として立った前原氏は、大学授業料の無償化を、大学に対してではなく、優秀な学生一人一人に対する支援を、大学間の競争と淘汰を強化するものとして求めました。

ドナルド・トランプが提起した政治問題は、地域の雇用やコミュニティーを守る、働く人々の生活を改善し、尊厳を高める、という積極的ポピュリズムの広がりでした。今、関税や産業政策に代表される、グローバリゼーションを制限し、地域の要求に従わせる手段に関して論争が起きています。
国内のマクロ政策が完全雇用をめざすなら、為替レートを安定化し、完全雇用と産業構造の調整を促す政策で国際的に合意する時代が来るかもしれません。トランプの関税戦争によって破壊される《グローバリゼーション》とは、資本移動の自由化と為替レートの変動に小国の政府が手を縛られた、《資本の支配》であった、という反省があると思います。
その視点は、豊かな国における地方経済の衰退、人口減少、高齢者の社会保障制度にも、もっと新しいコンセンサス、政策手段、市場介入の原則 を政治が定める《地方創生》と重なります。

兵庫県の斎藤元彦知事は、政治団体「NHKから国民を守る党」の立花孝志党首に対する評価や関係のあり方を明言しませんでした。百条委員会の元委員がSNSやメール、電話による誹謗中傷、脅迫を受け、自殺に至ったことの意味を一切無視する言葉と拒絶の姿勢に、日本の民主的政治が急速に空洞化し、暗転する瞬間を見たように思います。
