30日に「72時間」、31日は「孤独のグルメ」を観ていました。
さまざまな人が同じ場所に来るのは、なにかの仕事がその場所に関わるから。その場所の近くに仕事がある。食堂ならおいしい食事、病院なら医師と治療。倉庫や車庫かもしれません。
人びとの暮らしが交差するにもかかわらず、その人たちは全く互いを知らず、それぞれの人生が続いている、というのが番組のコンセプトなのでしょうか。

The Economistの2つの記事は、ドナルド・トランプの政治家としての資質と危険性を考察しています。
アメリカ政治を考察するLexington: Trump for Dummiesを読むと、トランプの優れた資質がわかります。彼は現職の統治を激しく攻撃します。問題を誇張し、嘘を並べ、自分への憎悪をかきたてて、反対者の最悪の部分を強化するのです。反対陣営の混乱を刺激し、分裂させます。
また、権力を得たトランプは、自分が短期間に問題を解決した、と主張します。なぜなら不安や恐怖を生み出す状況などなかったからです。
しかし、地政学をあつかうThe Telegram: The Art of the deal: global editionでは、トランプの限界と危険性がわかります。トランプは常習的な放火魔で破壊者です。細部にまで心を配る建築家ではありません。
カジノ、ホテル、ゴルフ場を建設したトランプは、「米国経済を世界で最も価値のある不動産のように」語り、「歴代米国大統領は外国のパートナーに米国経済へのアクセスをあまりに安い料金で許した「バカ」だ」と考えます。
「プロジェクト完了後にサプライヤーに値下げを命じ」ました。「同盟国は下請け業者のようなもの」で、アメリカとの将来の取引を望んでいたため譲歩したという経験を、世界の独裁者にもあてはめます。
