「電波の日」という記念日を設けて、ネットやゲーム中毒、ｅ−コマース依存症を治すきっかけにしてはどうでしょうか。その日、24時間、電波は地球上で消滅します。
ネット上の意見に翻弄され続けて、人びとの行動が現実を変形させていると思います。投票所に行くのが無意味に思える。だれに投票するか。どんな商品を買うか。価格を比較し、買って、すぐに後悔する。友人との関係を広げ、あるいは、破壊する。他人を激しく中傷する。攻撃されたと感じる。騙されて寄付する。結婚や離婚、投資の助言を求める。多くのデータを集め、さまざまに分析する。誇張や虚偽の情報があふれる。誰かを救世主だと信じる。・・・

「ティファニーで朝食を」「ウェストサイド物語」「博士の異常な愛情」「サウンドオブミュージック」「俺たちに明日はない」「卒業」「猿の惑星」「真夜中のカーボーイ」
・・・テレビは変化をもたらしました。本や新聞を読むとか、人と話す、遊ぶ、働くこととは別に、テレビは人々にフィクションやニュースや娯楽を届けてくれるのです。
特に、ケネディー当選の翌年に公開された「ティファニーで朝食を」の解説がすばらしい。オードリー・ヘップバーンが演じた主人公ホリーは、アメリカ文化の歴史と伝統を物語る。

2024年はどうなるか？ 昨年末、The World Ahead 2024: Future-gazing analysis, predictions and speculationという特集がThe Economistに載りました。
編集者は2024年のガイドをめざします。・・・武力紛争の激化、世界のエネルギー資源地図の描き直し、人工知能 ( ai ) の急速な進歩など、世界は驚くべきスピードで変化しています。中東情勢から電気自動車の導入、肥満の治療に至るまで、状況はわずか 1 〜 2 年前とは大きく異なっています。
2024年の民主主義は、20億人が参加する選挙だが、非リベラルな支配者が定着する結果になるだろう。特に、アメリカ大統領選挙の二極化と混乱は世界政治に影を落とすほど有害なものになる。選挙はアメリカの将来の方向性を決め、ウクライナ戦争や中東、アフリカなどの紛争の結果、世界秩序も変形する。
2024年の世界秩序は、不安の悪循環を生じ、西側の政治・軍事同盟は脆弱さを克服できない。アメリカはますます利己的な、より選択的な関与にしか興味を持たない超大国になる。1990年代の自己強化的なグローバリゼーションは、地政学リスクにさらされて、ポピュリズム、介入主義の政府、予測不可能性を広める。
