北アイルランド紛争を激化させた「血の日曜日」から50年を記念する論説を読みました。The Guardianに載ったFintan O’Tooleと朝日新聞・郷冨佐子。
「私は当時14歳だった。だからそこにはいませんでした。 しかし、私の古い友人の何人かはそこにいたし、私は彼らと一緒にいたかったと思う。」と、O’Tooleは書いています。
「私がイタリアで高校生だった1984年、17歳の夏のことである。・・・アイルランドの首都ダブリンへ向かう電車内で、英軍兵士らによる検問を受けた。洗面道具から寝袋の中まで調べられ、「一人旅の女はテロ協力者だと疑え、といわれるほど怪しいのだ」と告げられてショックを受けた。」と、郷は書きます。
ネットのYahooニュースで、50周年に際して発言する、弟を亡くした男性の話「50年前の北アイルランド「血の日曜日事件」が教えるもの」TBS News 1/31（月）を観ました。
「たくさんの「血の日曜日」がありました。」・・・「世界はいつまでたっても理解しないんだと思います。命を奪っておいて、ただで済むはずがない、ということを。」

暴力の広がり、独裁体制、軍事力の行使、民主主義の腐敗・破綻、情報ネットワークの悪用、偽情報による混乱の拡大・操作、支配者による監視技術、市場における利益の独占的収奪など、秩序を侵し、支配を強要する事例が急速に増えている、歴史の方向が変わった、と思うのは誤解でしょうか?
社会的な進歩の思想は、さまざまな部族主義によって変容し始めたのではないか? 差別や偏見からの自由、市民的な自由や平等、完全雇用、思想・信仰の自由、政治的な意見を述べ、結社を呼びかけ、あるいは、何度でも創り直す自由、出版・報道の自由、普通選挙権、政治権力をめぐる監視と法の支配。・・・
こうした考え方が、むしろ、自分たちに対する抑圧や支配を正当化している、と主張する社会運動や政治指導者が増えたように思います。ネットが発達する世界で勢いを増す、想像の部族自立主義です。

日本政府による佐渡金山の世界遺産申請に、韓国から抗議を受けた、というニュースを観ました。
韓国人（朝鮮半島や、日本軍の侵略と支配を受けたアジアの人々）にとって、多くの「血の日曜日」があったはずです。双方が、互いの歴史を学び、政治家が歴史を恣意的に利用する姿勢を、もっと根本から見直す知識の充実、発言を求めたいです。
グローバル・ヒストリーを調べるためにA.G.フランク『リオリエント』を読みました。佐渡金山の重要さが少しわかってきました。暴力的な事件や革命、騒乱、軍事衝突が連鎖する時代背景も、グローバルな（そしてローカルな）循環と変動を繰り返すということかもしれません。

「血の日曜日」という事件は、1905年、ロシアでも革命に至る重要な歴史の舞台でした。今もウクライナだけでなく、ベラルーシ、カザフスタン、キルギスタン、アゼルバイジャン、ロシア周辺部で、秩序維持と反政府・抗議の運動が衝突しているようです。
ミャンマーで、軍による市民への武力弾圧が続きます。敵対する者・不服従を、ゴキブリやスパイ、外国勢力の陰謀とみなす。シリアやイエメンの内戦は、周辺諸国の介入と軍備拡大が続き、弾圧による沈黙と大国による平和しか見えません。それが国際秩序でした。
各地に暴動や虐殺を祈念する歴史博物館があります。平和のために、教科書の中身だけでなく、ネットの情報や戦争ゲームを歴史博物館に組み込んで、侵略や殺戮を行った側と行われた側のVRがあってもよいでしょう。
大国による平和と市民との間には、さまざまな合意や制度が時間とともに蓄積されます。

すてきな話を観ました。NHK・BS1で「Where we call home」
外国から日本に来て、仕事や家庭を通じて、日本に住むと決めた人びとの話です。
ベトナムから来た青年は、日本人の親方と、住宅の基礎を作る仕事をしています。しかし、言葉がわかりません。仕事のことで、違う、と言われてもわからない。
親方も困ったそうです。違うと言うことはできても、何が違うかをわかってもらえない。
しかし、青年は努力家でした。わからない日本語を覚えて、その意味を学んでいきました。仕事が好きで、職場に誇りを感じている、と言います。
