Mont Saint-Michel Mont
Saint-Michel is a famous island which many tourists visit each
year. I thought it was a kind of castle, but it is an abbey.
Mont Saint-Michel and its bay were named as a UNESCO World Heritage site
in 1979. It is lit up after sunset. It was very beautiful.
| Eiffel Tower
Eiffel Tower is a 300 metre-high metal
tower erected in Paris for the
World Exhibition of 1889. It is a
symbol of Paris. There were many people who
took souvenir photos in front of this tower.
| Notre Dame de Paris The
cathedral is centrally located on the Ile de la Cité. It is one
of the most famous gothic cathedrals in the world. When I went
there, the structure was under construction.

The Louvre Museum The
Louvre is a world-famous museum and
art gallery of France. I took
photos with many art works like
the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo and
Nike. I was very excited to
see famous works which I had seen in
textbooks.
| The Church of Saint Joan of Arc It is located in the city center of Rouen, northern France.
The cross shows that this is where Joan of Arc was burned in
1431. There are markets near this church, and I bought a
goat cheese and salami.
| Chartres Cathedral Chartres Cathedral is
a French Gothic architecture. It is located in the medieval town
of Chartres. The stained glass windows were so beautiful it drew
sighs of admiration.
