センターの概要
本研究センターは、言語学・地理学・文化学・文字・データサイエンスを含む文理融合の学術的アプローチにより、言語そのものの内在的特性だけではなく、言語と社会的・文化的・地理的環境との複雑な相互作用から生じる変異や変化などの言語生態を解明することを目指します。
研究においてはフィールドワークや実験から得られる一次データを重視するとともに、研究成果を通して社会および教育への貢献を行います。
Through an interdisciplinary approach based on linguistics, geography, culture and literary studies, data science, and other scientific fields, this center aims to explore not only the intrinsic characteristics of language itself but also the variation and change arising from complex interactions between language and its sociocultural and geographical environment. In the process, special importance is attached to firsthand data collected from field work and experiments, and social and educational contributions will be made through research outcomes.
