KIFEE Symposia
The KIFEE symposia have alternated between Japan and Norway, roughly every 18 months

- KIFEE-4 in Trondheim, September 2009
- KIFEE-5 in Kyoto, March 2011
- KIFEE-6 in Trondheim, September 2012
- KIFEE-7 in Kyoto, March 2014 : 7th KIFEE International Symposium on Environment, Energy and Materials
- KIFEE-8 in Trondheim, September 2015 : 8th KIFEE International Symposium on Environment, Energy and Materials
- KIFEE-9 in Kyoto, March 2017 : 9th KIFEE International Symposium on Environment, Energy and Materials
The KIFEE symposia consists of strategic sessions which includes presentations from the industry, and workshops dedicated to each of the four targeted areas

- ・Advanced Biological Materials
- ・Education in Energy and Environment
The response in both countries has been exceptionally good. The presence of more than 40 Japanese participants at the previous KIFEE symposia in Norway and a similar attendance from Norway at the previous symposia in Japan reflect the substantial commitment from both countries.
