【New】2007 Summer Session will be held this summer.

We will offer 2007 Summer Session (a study program for Japanese and Japanese culture) this summer for students of partner institutions in principle.

Doshisha University (in Japanese ancient capital - - - Kyoto)

Summer Session Accepts Application!
(a study program for Japanese and Japanese Culture)

This is a short-term intensive program to learn Japanese and Japanese culture.

In the program, you will have on-site experience of Japanese tradition and culture in the ancient capital Kyoto. Participants will enjoy various unique events exclusively privileged in Kyoto: visiting traditional Japanese-style house called ‘Machiya’, fieldwork at temples and shrines, trying Japanese traditional culture such as tea ceremony, flower arrangement and calligraphy, etc., watching the Great Bon Fire Event (Daimonji)

Subjects : Japanese (from beginner to advanced level) (reading, writing, speaking)
Approx. 10 people in each class
Period : from August 4 (Sat) to August 25 (Sat)
Accommodation : Richard’s House, a Doshisha University’s dormitory of international exchange, having opened in April 2006, a single-room with bath and toilet
Program fee : \180,000-
Rent fee : \35,000-

Doshisha students are willing to assist participants so that you can study in easy mind, in any aspects such as extracurricular activities and supporting participants’ daily lives.
