The Second Exchange Party in the year 2007 was held for International Students and Japanese Students.

The second exchange party in the year 2007 was held on Tuesday, December 18 in the meeting room-A on the basement floor of Kambaikan.
Approximately a total of 30 students from Center for Japanese Language and from Center for Japanese Language and Culture, including about 20 Japanese students, participated in the party.
At the beginning of the party, the director of the Center for Christian Culture gave students words of cheer and prayers for the first time in the history of the exchange party.
Two male students, one from Indonesia and the other from Korea, acted as the master of ceremony.
First of all, the partner universities were presented. Three exchange students from University of Victoria, Canada, introduced a city of Victoria and University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada. They spoke of beautiful campus with a lot of pretty rabbits, facilities and events of the university as well as the city of Victoria with many sightseeing spots. The charms of University of Victoria are as follows. Since Victoria is surrounded with the sea, the university is located within easy access of the sea. Although water temperature is too low to swim even in summer, the scenery is magnificent. Every food is delicious, however, the specialties of Victoria are maple syrup, fish and selfish. Among others salmon is the best. They concluded with the words “Be sure to come to University of Victoria. The best thing for you is that you can see us.” The witty joke got laughter from the audience.
Then Fudan University, China was introduced by an exchange student from the university and an exchange staff from Foreign Affairs Office of the university who works as a trainee at the International Center of Doshisha.
They spoke of Fudan University and a city of Shanghai. Fudan University was established in 1905. In 2005 the university celebrated the hundredth anniversary of the establishment on a grand scale. Currently the university is ranked third in regard to the number of national key disciplines among universities in China. With roughly 29,000 students, 2,800 academic staff and 900 administrative staff, the university boasts of many academic related services and superb facilities. The university also has the academic exchange agreement with 170 universities of 26 countries in the world, including Doshisha University, Waseda University, Keio University and Kyoto University in Japan.
Shanghai is one of the most prosperous cities in China and the city still keeps ancient places of interest. The food like “Xiao Lon Bao” is delicious. Especially “Shanghai Crab” is the food of world reputation.
Secondly students began the self-introduction game “Meet 10 or More Japanese People”.
They introduced themselves with each other earnestly here and there in the room.
Lastly students separated into several groups to take part in the discussion under the theme of “My recent interest”. After the discussion two groups presented the results.
They spoke of “My favorite neta for sushi, in particular, for kaitenzushi or conveyor belt sushi” and “My plan during Christmas and New Year’s holidays”, respectively.
The exchange party ended in a friendly manner without any trouble same as the last time. We hope that our students will cultivate new friendship on this occasion
