Living Expenses |

The average monthly living cost in Kyoto is estimated at about 120,000yen including rent, or at the very least 100,000yen. You should always keep this in mind when making plans to study in Kyoto. However, various scholarship programs for international students are available as part of tuition subsidy or waiver.

Housing |

The Center introduces to the students who look for an accommodation after arriving in Japan the National Student Information Center, an agent for the Student Support Service Department of Doshisha University. In addition, the students also can obtain housing information through the University Co-op Store, and other housing agencies.

Medical Care |
|
In order to spend a pleasant and rewarding student life in Japan, the one thing that is more important than anything else is to maintain a healthy life. When you notice any change in your physical condition during your stay in Japan, you can use “Koseikan Health Center”, the on-campus health facility. The Health Center provides useful information about health-related matters such as various insurance systems and policies, medical fee reimbursement programs, and referrals to hospitals. |

The faculty and student volunteers provide various supports for international students, who are not familiar with Japanese life, helping them to apply for the alien registration or open a bank account, as well as giving them general advices on living in Japan. |
