Scholarship Programs |
There are three scholarship programs for international students of the Center for Japanese Language and Culture.
|
1. Doshisha University International Student Subsidy
This scholarship grats 40,000 yen monthly for up to six months (one-time payment of 240,000 yen). It
will be granted each semester to up to five students (up to ten students per year) who demonstrate
excellent academic performance and personal qualities.

2. Doshisha University Scholarship for International Students (Students of the Intensive Japanese Language
Program “Bekka”)
This scholarship is for the students of the Bekka program.
The scholarship grants the full amount of tuition for the second semester (actual amount in the academic
year 2009; ¥229,500) to up to ten students each semester, and up to twenty students each year. The
Center selects students with a superior attitude toward study and a strong academic record at the end of
their first semester. |
3. Honors Scholarship for Privately-Financed International Students
Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) offers honors scholarships for privately financed international students who have a strong academic record and needs a financial aid. Recipients of this scholarship are granted ¥48,000 per month for one year.
